There are currently 5 Independent System Operators (ISOs) in the US–CAISO, MISO, ERCOT, NEISO, and NYISO–while three others–PJM, BPA, and SPP–fall under the broader umbrella of Regional Transmission Operators (RTOs) but serve a large market and are also tracked.
